Things To Do: Entertainment At Hershey

Robert Vowler Concert

As someone who has been heavily involved in the Hershey area for several decades, I must say, I have become connected to the community. I thoroughly enjoy Hershey, mainly because of its rich history and all of the sheer content it offers. While Hershey is known the world over for its chocolate creation, it is also something of an entertainment haven. With the Hershey Theatre and Giant Center, Hershey houses some of the best entertainment events in the country. If you’re visiting, or planning on visiting, the area, here are just a few entertainment experiences you can expect to witness.

Concerts

The Hersheypark Stadium isn’t solely meant to house sporting events, it can also showcase some of the greatest musical acts of our time. This year, the Hersheypark stadium will be hosting several exciting musical acts, such as Journey and Def Leppard, Kendrick Lamar, Imagine Dragons and Fall Out Boy. But Hersheypark Stadium isn’t the only venue that Hershey has to offer. You can also visit the Giant Center, which offers 306,000 square feet of space and boasts 10,500 seats. The Giant Center will feature musical acts such as Styx, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. There’s no shortage of musical talent in Hershey.

Live Events

While Hersheypark Stadium is more tailored to house concerts and musical acts, the Giant Center is perfectly created for housing all sorts of events. More specifically, the Giant Center houses multiple live events for both adults and children alike. This year, the Giant Center will be hosting several exciting events, such as Kidz Bop Live, Disney On Ice Presents: Big Dream and Stars On Ice. There are so many exciting events, musical or otherwise, that you can enjoy with the whole family.

Sporting Events

Hershey’s various venues can also host a bevy of sporting events. More specifically, this year, the Giant Center will be hosting several sporting events, including the PIAA Individual Wrestling Championships and the PIAA Basketball Championships. The Hersheypark Stadium will also house the participants of the Hershey 10K.
